Reviving A Classic

Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow by mavstermusic

What's your LSS (Last Song Syndrome) ?
For days, songs older than my age keeps on ringing in my ears.
Regardless of the words, I am easily captivated by the melody and drama of a song. One of them is a very old song written by Carole King called "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow". Weeks ago, I had the chance to visit our huge county library in Bellevue and while waiting for Lota to get off from work. Such an overwhelming sight to be in the music books aisle- so many good choices that I could stay there browsing for an hour or two. I spotted Carole King's sheet music and...da dan!! Now I can't get this song off my mind. My attempt to follow the musical notes in the book failed; aside from the fact that I rarely play the piano with sheet music on, it gives me trouble playing the flats and sharps. The good old days of John Thompson books are gone (I finished the 3rd grade book when I was a little kid, but with a lot of frustrations. LOL!). Instead, I played the song by heart, not just to create my personal interpretation but to express my sincerity as well, and this is how I do my best. It is like delivering an important speech in public without the use of a teleprompter. :)
Enjoy the new week ahead, my friends.
